In the Aftermath of the Easter Bunny

Easter has come and gone, leaving some of us hankering for more chocolate!

Here are a few recipes that you can make (your kids can join in if you have any!) – they taste heavenly, and by making them yourself, you’ll burn off at least a few calories in the process!

Chocolate slice
(serves 10)
250 grams plain chocolate biscuits, crushed
90 grams butter, melted
3 teaspoons gelatine
2 tablespoons water, hot
250 grams cream cheese
395 grams NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup cream, whipped
125 grams NESTLÉ Dark Melts, melted

Combine biscuit crumbs and butter, press firmly into foil-lined 18cm x 28cm lamington pan, refrigerate.
Dissolve gelatine in hot water, cool.
Beat cream cheese and NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk until smooth, beat in lemon juice and gelatine.
Fold in whipped cream, pour over prepared base.
Pour NESTLÉ Dark Melts evenly over filling, swirl through filling.
Refrigerate until firm.
Cut into squares to serve.

Chocolate nests

Combine Kellogg's® Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes and melted chocolate in a large bowl; mix gently, but quickly until Corn Flakes are well coated with chocolate.
Press into lightly greased 20cm spring-form bake pan, pushing mixture half way up sides. Or use paper cases to make individual nests.
Refrigerate about 1 hour or until chocolate has set.

Tim Tam Thickshake
Preparation time 10 minutes
Serves 2

Ingredients
1 pack of Arnott’s Original Tim Tams, roughly chopped
8 scoops vanilla ice-cream
400ml milk
2 Tim Tam Fingers, to garnish
Grated chocolate, to garnish

Method
Place ice-cream, Tim Tams and milk in a blender. Blend until smooth
Pour Thickshake into 2 tall glasses and sprinkle with grated chocolate to serve, if desired. Garnish with Tim Tam finger.
